Privacy Policy for fifku Effective date: Jul 9 2026 Contact: support@fifku.com fifku is a learning game for children. We built it to be private by design: it works without accounts, collects no personal information, and shows no ads. This policy explains what data the app uses and how. The short version - No account, no sign-up, no email, no login. - No real names. Each player uses a fun, automatically generated nickname (e.g. "Sunny Fox 42"). - No ads, no third-party analytics, no tracking, and no in-app purchases. - Learning progress is stored on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, backed up privately to your own Apple iCloud account. - An optional global leaderboard shares only an anonymous nickname, avatar, and score. It can be turned off at any time. Information we collect fifku does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, precise location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, advertising identifiers, or any other personal or device identifiers for tracking. The only information the app creates and uses is gameplay data you generate on the device: - A self-selected avatar and an automatically generated player nickname (not your real name). - A chosen age range (e.g. 5-7) used only to set question difficulty. - Learning progress: points (XP), stars, levels, badges, streaks, and per-subject stats. How your information is stored - On your device. All progress is stored locally on the device using Apple's on-device storage. - Private iCloud backup. If you are signed in to iCloud, your progress may sync and back up to your own private iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit. This data lives in your iCloud and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/). We, the developer, cannot access the contents of your private iCloud. The optional leaderboard fifku includes an optional global leaderboard so players can compare scores. When it is enabled: - The app publishes only: the anonymous player nickname, the avatar emoji, the score (XP and stars), and a randomly generated device identifier used to update your own entry. - No real name, email, Apple ID, or contact information is ever published. Entries cannot be traced back to individual users. - The leaderboard is opt-in and reversible. You can turn it off in the app's Profile screen at any time, which deletes your published leaderboard entry. The leaderboard uses Apple's CloudKit public database. We do not operate our own servers and do not sell or share this data with anyone. Third parties We do not use third-party advertising, analytics, marketing, or tracking services. The only external service the app relies on is Apple iCloud / CloudKit, which is provided by Apple and used solely to back up your progress and (optionally) power the leaderboard. Apple's handling of that data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy. Children's privacy fifku is intended for children and families. We designed it to comply with children's privacy laws such as the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the EU/UK GDPR-K: - We do not knowingly collect personal information from children (or anyone). - There are no accounts, no logins, no chat or messaging, no social features, and no free-text input with identifying information. - Player nicknames are generated by the app and are not real names. - There is no behavioral advertising and no tracking. If you believe a child has somehow provided personal information through the app, contact us at [support email] and we will remove it. Your choices and controls - Turn off the leaderboard in Profile to stop publishing and delete your leaderboard entry. - Manage iCloud in your device's Settings to control or disable iCloud backup and sync. - Delete all data by deleting the app, which removes the local data on that device. Private iCloud data can be managed from your device's iCloud storage settings. Data retention We retain no personal data because we collect none. Your progress remains only as long as it exists on your device or in your iCloud. A published leaderboard entry remains until you turn the leaderboard off or delete the app. Security Data stored in iCloud is protected by Apple's security measures. Because the app collects no personal information, there are no passwords or personal records for us to safeguard or lose. Changes to this policy We may update this policy from time to time.
